Too bad ele attunement got nerfed into the E. Storage line.

E mgmt is E mgmt...but Attune is like..the foundation for any decent Ele bar.
If you were to ping a bar without attune for a PvE mish or Vanquish, (and if you werent running some weird build like cryer or w/e) I'd kick you in a heartbeat.

imo, ele attune is best for nrg management and mind blast is better for combining in offence

I only have proph and EotN, so I don't have access to a lot of the fancy agressive elites (mind blast). As a result, elite e-management is often my best option. I like running Ether Renewal. I keep an attunement welded to my bar with very few exceptions. Aura of Restoration is also glued to many of my bars (great cover enchant and free heals, plus it powers Ether Renewal). I can sit on a 40/40 fire magic set and use arcane echo to spam Rodgort's Invocation all over the place and never have energy problems.
I'd like to try mind blast and some others, but I've been to lazy/stingy to spend the $ on factions and NF.

I think this explains it the best.. well said Shyft..
Elemental attunement is not the best choice if you are not bringing its elemental counterpart (fire, water, air, earth attunement) which limits you to using one element at a time. Ive tried trip attunement (Elemental, Fire, Water) for a multi element build but 3 slots for e-management is a bit excessive especially when they offer no other advantage.
Mind blast is definitely the bet choice for offensive multi-attribute builds ([Mind blast][mark of the rodgort][rodgorts invocation][steam][glowing gaze]) If you are not a competent energy manager then you might throw in fire attunement but it is definitely not needed and [GOLE] would be a much better choice in this build just because of the multi-attributes
Ether renewal is best for enchant heavy builds (defensive builds) from everything from ER Protection ele too.. umm.. well.. ER Protection Ele. It might fit in an earth tank build, but you really cant beat [stone striker][mantra of earth][earth attunement] for a tank build. I am sure there may be another use for ER other than a prot build but i cant think of one.

This is why you fail. It is the narrow minded that prevent people with perfectly synergistic builds from even trying to PUG. You think that attunement is the only choice of viable e-management and there are no other options. This is why PUGs are failing and why i stick to H/H or my friends list. You get the short sighted people looking for pugs and they kick you when you dont bring "the only ele build available" [fire attunement][savannah heat][teinais heat][searing heat][flare][firestorm][mending]
[GOLE] > attunement

When my energy pool is at 95 i can cast over 10 meteor showers within about 20 seconds using assassins promise and i only end up about halfway exhausted.. at 50 energy max i can still operate with a lot of efficiency, i can spam my EotN skills until i am unexhausted.

Umm... no, you can't. Casting 10 Meteor showers will give you 100 exhaustion, and over 20 seconds you will get back 7, leaving you with 93 exhaustion. You either spam your EoTN skills with a max energy pool of 2, or you are full of shit. Nevermind the fact that you couldn't cast 10 meteor showers in 20 seconds unless you had a permanent 1/4th cast time going.

Actually, he does have permanent 1/4 cast time going. I've seen him say multiple times on the forums that his favorite combo is AP + Glyph of Sacrifice + Meteor Shower.
Either way, he's still a little off on 10 meteor showers not dropping his entire energy bar.

I may be off by a few seconds or by a shower or two. (since i am on guru at work and i play GW at home, i really dont get the chance to log specific numbers. I thought i put the qualifier word "about" in my post to denote that my numbers were not exact.
although ap + GoS + MS allows for massive spamming of MS... mindbender + ap + GoS + MS allows to tweak our the output amount by a couple more seconds..
because GoS doesnt really make MS instant. It takes it from 5 seconds to 1/4 second.
I probably did exaggerate a bit since 10 energy is exhausted every cast would exhaust 100 energy after 10 casts. Maybe its more like 7 showers in about 20 seconds. I really have only laid out that many showers in FoW anyways and even then only in at the mouth of the forest. Usually its just 3 or 4 meteor showers to effectively pin and snare a group of casters.

A little sarcastic, but here the final solution to this thread:
Delete your ele and make a necro (with 14 at Soul Reaping) with ele skills, that way you will have full energy all the time, the only problem is the max 12 in element attributes. Also (and necro appears again) don't forget to equip Blood is Power to one of your heroes. You will be an official energy machine and you will be able to spam whatever crap you want like a psycho.

I myself have an elementalist, I normally go 16 Fire Magic, and yes, I use Fire Attunement, always.
